Inauguration of Community Colleges at Batticaloa, Srilanka:

Dr. Xavier Alphonse, S.J., Director, ICRDCE, Chennai and his team, visited and inaugurated three Community Colleges in Srilanka at Vivekananda Community College (Vivekananda Charitable Trust), St. John's Community College (Church of the American Ceylon Mission/Anglican Church) and Miani Community College (Somascan Fathers) at Batticaloa on 25th and 26th September, 2024. ICRDCE was instrumental in starting of these three Community Colleges in collaboration with United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia. It was a proud moment for ICRDCE which caters to the dropouts, war widows, orphans, etc., in Srilanka. Dr. Pareena G. Lawrence, President of United Board was the chief guest for all the above inaugurations.

Inauguration of Skill Development Centre:

Inauguration of Franciscan Hospitaller Skill Development Centre at Baireddipalli near Palamaner, Chittoor District by the Congregation of The Franciscan Hospitaller Sisters of the Immaculate Conception (FHIC) took place on 03.11.2024. Msgr. Rev. Fr. Talari Balaraju, Vicar General of Diocese of Cuddapah and other diocesan Priests and Dr. Xavier Alphonse, S.J., Director, ICRDCE, Chennai and his team attended the inauguration of the Training Centre.

Training Programme for the Life Skill Teachers of Community Colleges in India:

ICRDCE organized the "Training Programme for the Life-Skill Teachers of Community Colleges in India" in English at Dhyana Ashram from 9th to 11th September, 2024 in which 49 participated from 33 organizations.
